Rookie mistake any ideas?

Ok i messed up I have a 120 did a 1/3, 40 gal, water change before realizing out of water conditioner. So went ahead and filled tank thinking would run to LFS in a bit. Forgot to grab conditioner when went to store and checked tank approx 3 hrs later and found Synodontis bobbing and breathing erratically. Hit me like a log conditioner immediately ran to store and added conditioner he is still running into everything and weak, but cichlids have been fine whole time. I do not have an isolation tank setup yet any ideas or should I just pray for best?

Try to fine breeder net to quarentine it in since you dont have a hospital tank. It might be to late though . If it survives the night it will be fine. Cichlids tend to be more hardy when it comes to mistakes like that .

i have a breeder tank but he is big will give that a try though thx.

yeah cichlids tend to pick at weak fish. seperate him so he wont get harassed and keep your fingers crossed.
