ROOM FOR AROWANA??????????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No room for any arowana regardless of dimensions.

6'x30"x22" for a total of 205 gallons would work for a Jardini if you ditch the tank mate idea and we are talking custom tanks. Yes some WILL disagree but that seems decent to me.... wait for it ...... here it comes.....

What are the chances those are his dimensions >< Either way no 200 gallon tank is ideal for an arowana, well no tank is but thats not the point here. Fish keeping is unethical but cmon its just painful for me to watch such a magnificent creature have to contort itself in a very undersized enclosure.

IMO a 6x2x2' would be minimum to house upto a 24" jardini, but that wasn't the question was it?

Agree with Brian, if the jar is big enough to need over 24" of width then its going to want more than 22" of height. IMO.....

And to answer the OP's question, you could raise an arowana in a 200g tank for a couple of years, but it WILL require something larger after that, regardless of species.
