Rope Fish Feeding

My question is simple, will the rope eat flakes, or does it have to be all meaty foods like beefheart and bloodworms ect.?

several types of food is best, i feed min ,fish choped, coctail shrimp,blood worms, earth worms,beafheart
how would you like to eat bread and only bread for every meal for the rest of your life

even if it did take flakes, I don't think they would be substantial enough. Think of them as skinnier bichirs.

Mine takes chunks of fish, shrimp and beefheart. Size of chunks is dependent on size of rope and how long you are willing to outwait it. Mine was fed feeders only when I got it and it took two weeks to start eating something else.

Please don't feed your ropes flakes, there's no way that's a healthy diet for a carnivorous fish.

If they're big enough to eat them they'll take pellets eventually.

Do you only have one rope fish? If so it will be harder to get them on different foods than with several. Several ropefish smell food and go into a feeding frenzy. If one eats something the others will join in.
