Hi. I get that they aren't technically monster fish. BUT, you guys are basically the only helpful forum I got. Sarah Pickle Lemon got a rope fish friend. (name suggestions are being accepted. (Normal name, vegetable, fruit or herb) Anyway. Sarah eats a lot of different stuff, Including but not limited to- Hikari jumbo sticks, (her favorite and basically only thing she'll eat except live) I have scallops, shrimp, and salmon cubed and frozen in vitachem, I soaked it in vitachem prior to freezing, and it defrosts in it as well. She's not super into it. She also wasn't into the 16 different ingredient mix i slaved over to for three hours to make for her. but Im not bitter or anything. On to the ropefish- I have freeze dried krill I tried to feed him, as well as the vitachem mix, and the jumbo sticks. should be noted i got him like a day and a half ago so he might still be a little nervous.
Also should be noted that SPL is an arowana. a little bit shorter than homeboy rope fish. other tank makes include a small (for now) giant gourami (Margo Sage Fig),Some weird rainbow fish that nobody can explain how it got in the tank but its doing fine so whatever. and six small fish silver dollars. lots of places to hide, so far no problems. FOR NOW. I repeat FOR NOW, we are in a 125. YES, they will be getting a much larger tank. YES I did my research before getting the arowana. YES i know how big she gets. YES, i preach tank size too. YES i know putting her in with other fish is risky business. BUT i also know she's kinda a giant pussy. like me. so pls don't yell at me. anyway yeah suggestions would be great.
