Recently i have been looking the rope fish, Erpetoichthys calabaricus, and i have been reading some conflicting things. I've read that they do well in low salinity water, but i have also read that brackish water would be bad for it. so I've come here for some knowledge and for some personal experiences if you have had these fish, and if they do well in low end brackish water. As of know my salinity is 1.002 but i have plans to eventually get it up to 1.010. if that's to much for them please let know know so i can figure out what to add to my tank instead. I have an 80 gallon brackish tank, with a violet goby and 4 black mollies as of know. eventually i want to get some archer fish, and i was hoping to have the rope fish too. so please share your knowledge and experiences with me. Thank MFK!!!

they don't need brackish water live. freshwater would be good enough.
