I was at the LFS today and a tank with rope fish caught my eye. Never seen anything like them before!! Do they have any special requirements?? I'm finding a lot of mixed information on how big they grow, like only up to 15inches in captivity, but other sites say up to 32inches!

i have 2 and love them. mine are both around 8 to 10 inches right now. if you are going to keep them make sure you have a tight lid with no holes at all! they will find a way out if there is even the slightest gap. i personally tape down my lid so they cant get out. even if they do, remember they might not be dead because they breathe at the surface of the water, and can stay out of the tank for awhile. they are not aggressive at all so be careful what you keep them with.
