Rope fish.

How fast do they grow. I have had mine for about four months and they do not seem to have grown much at all. I have three in a 125g.

two are about 8" one is around 12". I feed then a wide range of foods Frozen blood worms ; Shrimp pellets; cichlid sticks; cichlid flakes; tublfix worms; catfish floating pellets; ghost shrimp ( don't know how many they get due to the blood parrots I have in the tank); etc. Their tankmates are the following: 2 clawed frogs; 5 blood parrots; 1 female Flowerhorn and a Jack Dempsey. tempture of the tank stays around the low 80's.

Ok the reason you're not seeing huge growth is like many bichirs their main growth spurt occurs from birth till 8-9 inches then slows.As long as they are eating well and there is some growth including length and girth don't worry
in home aquaria they tend to only reach 15-20 inches -Anne

ropefish growth rate is quite slow.
