Ropefish and Endlis

Is is safe to keep ropefish and big Endlis together? I have a 240 gallon with 3 20 inch Endlis. Will the ropefish get eaten?

I wouldn't keep them together.My thoughts would be the ropes would look like nice tasty worms.-Anne

Agreed. The endli's would most likely end up eating the ropes.

My 12" Senegal died after swallowing most of a 12" ropefish...I pulled the ropes body out of the dead poly and the dorsal spines ripped it up inside, no wonder he couldn't spit it out.

I have a rope with my 12" endli. Check out my video in the video section. They get along fine, though the endli had to learn they're not food.

I bought more than one and one of them was half way down the endli's throat the first night, but was regurged later in the morning.

At least now she knows not to eat ropes.
