Ropefish food???

Hey yall, anyone who has experience with ropefish, what do you feed them and their main diet should be? I have one and only had him for three days. 1st day it didnt eat, which is understandable, 2nd day also barely ate, swallowed the food then spat it out, today it ate some food finally but struggled with it. So far I've only tried shrimp, white fishmeat(gourami), bloodworms, earthworms, sinking pellets.
He eats bloodworms a little bit but is mainly interested in earthworms but he sometimes has to fight the worm to swallow it. What should I mainly feed him and how to get him to eat more? Thankssss!!

I’d try some cut up tilapia soaked in Boyd’s vitachem. I’d also try some broken up massivore. My old ropes loved them. Can always soak the pellet in bloodworm juice or garlic.

How many earth worms did he eat? If you have him only 3 days one whole earthworm is more than enough food for that time period.

I did feed him only one but it couldn't fit his mouth so I cut it up
