I posted yesterday about the Ick in our tank. I'm thankful for the responses. Ick has effected everything in the tank now. Just thought I would check to see if anyone has recommendations specifically for this ropefish. I have added a heater, another air pump and increased the temp to 86F. He's in a 30gl tank with 2 tablespoons of salt added. Started and plan to continue 50% water changes every day until there are no signs if ick for 3 days.
The picture is not that great. This ropefish's eyes look ok so far. But he appears to be covered in sand. Because we have sand in the tank, it took me a little longer to see that we had a problem.
I have melafix and pimafix on hand but I'm afraid to use it for the ropefish.
Ick is a dreadful thing. This ropefish was doing fine even after an escape just last week.
