Ropefish with Ornatipinnis?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You can be the first. ;)

i take it that you have not yet picked up ALL of them ? well, if you already have the ornate and you think you 'know' the fish already, try to make a generalization of his attitude and assess from there.
OR...
mix 'em anyway and keep the ornate well fed. If he's always full, he wont have any reason to hunt.

for encouragement, i have a 10.5 in senegal, 9 in endli, 5 in del, 6.5 in palmas...etc. No one is eating anybody. They even chillout sometimes... look.

...is that right?

yes it works, my buddy has a rope with an ornate. no problems so far, but it might be once that ornate gets 20" and hungry

damnit, i want those ropefish, someones trading me a pleco for 2 big ropes, but theres no way I'm getting rid of the big lady for a coupla ropes, had her for a long time. I never see he go at the other fish but she's definitely a good hunter. Would NOT want to lose her and a rope, then lost another 2 when my other ornate gets bigger. I think a verdict had been reached

i have kept the combo before. 15" ropefish and ~15" and ~18" ornates. had them together for a good number of years and of course all the fish were smaller in the beginning. in fact the ropefish was probably longer than at least one of the ornates at first, can't quite remember now.

But just because it worked out for me doesn't mean its always gonna work out, unfortunately.
