How long do ropefish get???? I have heard two different lengths: three feet, and 16 inches. How long does it take to reach maximum size???

i think they get to about 40 cm - if u care to work that into inches. prob bout 16. i havent heard nor seen them getting to three feet.

15-20 inches is common in home aquaria -Anne
in the wild sizes can reach 30+ inches

According to fishbase the largest was 90cm (36"), I assume it was wild caught.

Thats were fishbase gets their information from wildcaught specimens.However in home aquaria 16-20 inches is more the norm.-Anne
