Can it happen? has it happened?

RQ have RD/Midas in them already so they for sure can breed.
I believe that many male RQ are infertile though?
I would try for a female RQ and a male RD/Midas if you want to breed them.

Burt :)

Actually it is very possible.

Rose Queens are just like Parrots. 99.9% of the males are infertile, but there are more than good chance of females being fertile just like the parrots.

As long as the particular rose queen you get is a female and is fertile with a male RD, it's more than possible.

but imo, I wouldn't do it with a RD. The frys will come out looking almost like RD or midas. Not worth the hard work. If I had a rose queen, I would breed her with a syn or a high quality flowerhorn with a huge head so I can get some RBK(rainbow king) or nice kamfas, possible some faders out of them.

Good luck with your project!
