Folks,

Help me out here please. I am new to the discussion of hybrids/flowerhorns, but have been keeping fish for over 25 yrs. I love some of these hybrids, but am not real keen on most of the flowerhorns. SRT's are really cool! I have also come across pictures of the Rose Queen & only a few pics of a Red Monkey. From doing some searches on here, I have seen it suggested that a Rose Queen is thought to be Midas x synspilum. The pictures I have seen of a Red Monkey look very similar to the Rose Queen. What is the difference between these two? Are they generally sterile or fertile?

Thanks!
Patrick

I know there are synspilum and midas in both of their bloodline. Could just be good line breeding but I am unsure. They make great wetpets though.

Thanks for the response and pictures Cam!
