OK my male and female RQ's had spawned this morning.... What are the chances of the male being fertile?

Since they were already spawned, then you should wait and you'll get the answer for your question.
Usually not, but sometimes they can be. It really depends on how the RQ was created. For instance, if it's the product of a syn X midas then probably not. If it was the product of a syn X bp, kkp, etc, then maybe.True...
Have you ever heard of a fertile male?

I thought if it was crossed with a bp or kkp less chance of it being fertile far as males.Usually not, but sometimes they can be. It really depends on how the RQ was created. The brothers that own the store told me the breeder has been breeding them for the last 4 yrs so they're not really sure. But it's been over 24hrs now and still not one white egg have been found.... fingers crossed lol+1 this and how many generations of making them they are. Typically the farther/more generations hybrids are the better chance of fertility but not always. This is partially why the older strains of flowerhorns are usually fine both sexes but the newer lines suffer with high % male infertility.
Bp, kkp, and skkp carry a fair amount of synspila blood, when paired to pure synspila the odds of creating a fertile male should be much greater.I thought if it was crossed with a bp or kkp less chance of it being fertile far as males.
