Even though their feeders in my turtle tank, I like the looks of some of them.
But how come when i buy like 10, only 2 have the stripe going down their body? Is it because of age or gender??

rosy red minnows are a color morph of the fathead minnow which has the stripe. whether a rosy red will have the strip or not depends on it's genetics.

Ok thanks!
So there's 2 kind if fish in that tank?

And I read that some fish farms treat their goldfish with sulfate copper but what about rosies?

Probably not.
Fathead minnows are Pimephales promelas....rosy reds are also fathead minnows (Pimephales promelas) simply a color variant. No matter what you do to the color it's still a fathead minnow.

When you start selecting small numbers of fish to breed a certain trait and then on top of that mass produce such a mutant animal in horrible conditions since it's only a bait/feeder fish, you get all kinds of goofy stuff.

An individual photo of each of your 10 fish might allow us to help you a bit better though.

You gotta tell me earlier man..my turtle ate them all.lol

i'll probably get some next week so I'll take pictures while they're still in the PETCO bag.
