Rough Day for Tank Mates

Been so long since I’ve had any issues with ray on tank mate violence, and then two in one day. Two different rays as well. Hope this isn’t a trend...

I would not be surprised if they got killed because they tried to nip at the rays. Tinfoil barbs are notorious for fin nipping and being a nuisance. Regardless, am sorry to see this. Sucks to lose fish in any circumstance.

i have not been succeessful with rays and tinfoils. even if i get the biggest one available, my rays will hunt them one by one and eats the head (leaving the body in tact). also have issues with bala sharks - i beleived anything with shiny scales wont last in my tank.

My one Black diamond girl and my son's mantilla male do this every now and then
Its crazy.. for months nothing and then suddenly out the blue they will be silly and then again for months nothing happens...
