Have anyone taken care of these guys?

I read the number one cause of death is starvation as their natural diet is not well-researched yet, and they can be a bit fussy. I know they accept soft-bodied insects such as locusts, waxworms and crickets but often get impactation from hard-shelled insects like mealworms.

I know successful owners have luck with offering variety of diet such as crickets, grasshopers, moths, spiders, lobster roaches for about 5 or more years while unsuccessful ones have trouble keeping them on a staple insect.

I am looking for advices before I buy these little fellows.

Yep
I have yet to see ONE green snake (either species) eat anything. If somebody has, a video would be awesome.

I know theres someone in the UK that has bred them, i can't seem to find any info though, i'll keep searching though.

I have just taken care of them at the store I work at. We actually have three right now. Two of them eat crickets like champs. They would eat everyday if we let them.

Don't know how the third one is going to make out though. Can't get the little guy to eat. He may come around though.

A friend of mine has one, they are arboreal, so keep it in a high tank that is very densely planted. Keep it wet, mist him at least once a day, and soak it down very well. They aren't really hard to maintain, feed it a small cricket a day, they do well on that diet.

Yeah, it will be the same as my anole setups -- just more variation of critters for him to eat.

The problem is that probably 90-99% of the RGS in North America are WC. We all know how WC can refuse to eat. Have you tried a different insect? Maybe a moth or two? Are the crickets powdered or gut-loaded with calcuim and vitamin?

The crickets we feed are gut loaded. The two we have the eat well also accept wax worms and horn worms. I don't really want to give them any of the shelled insects, mealworms/superworms. I would try moths, but I have no way to get my hands on any.

I'm not to sure if these are WC or not, but one ot them is missing a good 5'' off of his tail so it wouldn't suprise me. Although that particular one is the best eater of them all so who knows.

The only four commerically-avaliable "soft-shelled" insects I can think of that you can try are louscts, butterworms, silkworms and lobster/speckled roaches.

I am just thinking of ideas here, since I don't have any real experiences with them. Maybe someone will come along and offer better advices.

have you checked reptibid and kingsnake classifieds? i occasionally see captive bred rough green snakes for sale there(though they're usually babies)
