so i moved my 7-8'' senegal from my 55gal growout to the 120gal with the rest of the bichirs. i did a water change and lowered temps a bit prior to minimize aggression and activity in the tank. first introductions went well and i kept an eye on the tank for a few hours before i went to bed and saw no signs of aggression. i woke up this morn to find the little sen lookin a bit beat up. tankmates are as follows; 8-9'' sen, 2x 14'' ornates, 11-12'' palmas polli, 14'' lap, 16-17'' endli congicus, 5-6'' synodontis, and a 7'' tilapia buttikoferi. do you guys think he will be ok or should i remove him. i really don't want to put him back in the 55 as i have 2 albino sens 2.5-3'' and 18 2'' ctenopoma arriving on tues and don't want them to become snacks for the 8'' sen. any advice would be appreciated.
cheers

Sounds like the established polys showed him that they are boss and it should settle down from there.

Could also be the tilapia though, those suckers are mean and I bet they'd be tempted to attack a smaller bichir surfacing to breathe.

it was neither, it was the little syno. its funny he's never bothered the bichirs before i added the small sen, then this afternoon i saw him picking at the the 2 ornates. needless to say he has been removed.
