For those who remember my post from last yr.. (but pictures are all gone... since the MFK server crash on April 27th)
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225481

I now have second generation Golden Platinum FH! And this time.. they have a much bigger male and a different mother..

The breed is a male from my batch last yr and a different ZZ Malau... both parents died last yr after they breed.. I never had a chance to breed them again or sold them...

I have no idea what these will look like.. but judging from what i know from Biology... the genes will for sure have the Fader golden gene.

These fries were breed on May 7th, and in just 10 days.. i have free swimming frys.. Enjoy!

ps: How old should these fry be before i move the parents out of the tank? or move the fry out?

Does anyone know at what size should the parents be removed from the frys?

This will be my first attempt at Parent raising the fry.. vs. last time when i pulled the fry out of the parent's care..

For my Texas cichlids I remove the parents about 5-8 days after they hatch because they are big enough to swim and eat. The parents will also start eating them

anyone else who have raised FH before? is that the same as texas? 7-8 days?

I have I take the fry away when the free swim for 2 days or so... use the water from the parent tank though so they wont stress

I see... will parents begin to eat the fry after? I've witness FH with fry about 1-2 weeks after.. but I'm honestly not sure, and advice would help..

I guess if need be. i will put some fry in a 10 gallon tank for safety..

the frys are doing well.. but are growing very slowly.... picturs soon of the frys..
