now imagine if they had just kept cliff lee for 11 mil a year instead of trading for roy oswalt for 13 mil a year AFTER they panicked and realized they weren't good enough with just halladay

cliff lee pitched a shut out against a tougher opponent then roy halladay faced yesterday. That 1-2 punchl would be unbeatable in the playoffs! i haven't even mentioned cole hamel yet!

I agree with you. Cliff Lee is an amazing pitcher (I still laugh if I happen to see his catch against New York in the world series last year). What team did he shutout that you're talking about? I'm looking up his game log on mlb.com and the only full game shutout for him this season with no runs nor earned runs I see is against the Reds :ROFL:
