Does everyone elses L027 create monster loads of poop? I got one at 2" a few weeks and he has dont nothing but poop. I did rotate large pieces of algae covered driftwood from the pond to the tank because i wanted to make sure he was eating. I recently removed all but one piece. There is still poop everywhere and i'm still cleaning it up. is this normal or an i offering too much food?

i have a common of about 9 inches. it's a pleco thing. they do excrete an exceptional amount of waste.
i've had P. gibbs, H. Plecostomus, P. Pardalis, Bristlenose and clown plecos, some up to 12" but this little 2"er is full of it.
Royals are wood eaters primarily. Keep the wood in there and just consider the "sawdust" a sign that he's fat and happy!
The vegetarians leave quite a mess. The carnivores pseudas and such are not that bad as far as waste goes. My 8 inch L-114 is no worse than any other 8 inch fish but my 3 inch watermelon now that is a differant story.
