This sunday i am buying a 10" royal clown knife, i will be mixing it with 5 peascock bass, a jurapari and a pleco. Basically any prior purchase advise or should i be all set? or any words of wisedom at all? thanks in advance

what size tank are you putting him in man?
and also find out what he was being fed before you buy him, if he is on feeders you may have to ween him back to shrimp or beef heart. unless you are already stocking your tank with a supply of feeders.
Other than that give him a place to hide during the day.

I hope you are ready! I love the royals and clown knives the most i think, so good luck with your new addition

oh, and as long as the other fish in the tank wont fit into his mouth, there aren't any issues of him gobbling up your tank mates. i would be most concerned with the pleco if he is small.. he could harm the knife with his spines if he were ingested. But if he is a large pleco then no worries.

no the pleco is all set dont worry and the rest of my fish are allset as well i was just worried about aggression. but if thats all my worries im all set

the peacocks may harass the clown if he is smaller than them but in this case the clown isn't a baby, most likely your p bass and the clown will get along just fine. Sounds like a nice looking predator tank! i would love to see pictures when you get him in there today, if you picked him up.

yea man!!! cant wait to see pics!!! aqua sanctuary has pretty much sumed it all up!! as he said PLZ make sure he has some cover during the day

yeah i have driftwood and quite a few plants in there he will be fine, actually i never ended up picking it up due to my buddy buying a 30" arowana that they had for 100$ he couldnt pass it up and we all took one car and i wasnt going to have either one of us stress the fish out anymore than we had to... sooo needless to say i will pick the fish up next weekend
