Royal Clown Knife....

Can you tell the difference between a regular CK and RCK when they are younger. If not at what size can you tell the difference? There is a "royal clown knife" at my LFS and it looks just like a regular. It is only maybe 5". Thanks

royals have many tiny spots and regular ck's have only about ten or less larger spots. this should be aparent at that size.

a lot of young clown knifes have elongated spots and the LFS will mislable them as a rck. I agree wieht mopar, spots vs stripes/fewer spots at a young age. The stripes on a juvie ck will turn into spots/.

Thanks guys. I was not planning on buying it or anything I was jw. Maybe one day when I get a large tank. Or if I end up making a pond for my marbled pim.
