it looks like my royal has a slight curve in its back.. kinda looks like it might be broken or something .. but it could also be that it hides in the same spot ALL the time and he kinda hides around/behind a rock ... im not sure .. and getting a pic is about 100% impossible .. there are some marks on its side in the same place as the slight curve ... but im really not sure ... and dont know how long its been like that ..

it swims around normal .. it eats and swims like normal .. but im still kinda worried about it ..

any ideas ..

if it swims and eats normal then dont worry about it.

i just didnt know if it was normal in knifes when they get big to have problems like that .. i know it gets some flack from the oscars .. but most the time one quick slam in the face from the knife and they leave him alone .. since the knife is 200x faster then the oscars ..

If he presents any eating problems or lethargy, that's when you should worry. Make sure he is bigger than the oscars so he can hold his own. Is the tank to narrow for him to turn around? maybe that is causing the curve in his back.

oh no ... he is not quite that long yet .. he hides on the side of the tank and has a few inches to go before he is wider then the tank .. i would say he is 12-14" maybe .. in the 120 gal tank ..

the place i got him from said he would work in a 120 for life .. good thing i found this site lol ..
