The lfs has these in stock and they seem interesting. Does anyone know if they get along with SC/CA cichlids as well as regular plecos? also does anyone know if they are very sensitive to high PH. Thanks.

pH 6.8-7.5. Their only defense is camouflage so, they would probably be quickly killed by aggressive cichlids and plecos.

They are quite timid fish. I've kept them with some of the more peaceful plecos, but not with the cichlids. I agree with oddball they probably wouldnt do great. Slightly acidic water is best.

In general, I would agree with the statements above....However I have one about 10" (13"-14" with the streamers) in with an Aro, Red Tiger Motoguense, Red Devil/ Pearl of the Orient Flowerhorn, Uarus and a crap-load of plecos of various sizes with no problem. Of course some people might say my tank is too over crowded and he is simply looked over in the general melee. Still .... probably the exception, not the rule.
