Royal Knife wont eat.

I bought a good sized Royal Knife a little over a week ago and I have him in a tank with 5 small pike and 2 green severums. He still won't eat... I feed the other fish frozen foods (blood worms, beefheart, etc) and he doesn't even react to it when its floating right by his face. I put frozen prawns in there today and again... no reaction at all. I specifically asked the guy at the LFS where I got him about what they feed him and he said they don't use life food at all in their store so he should be eating this stuff....

Any suggestions??
 
my CK will only eat massivore and tilapia.he/she will grab shrimp,worms,beefheart and anything else just spit them out.just keep trying diff things to see what he was use to.
 
live ghost shrimp.
 
Live ghost shrimp aren't an option, there is nowhere around here to get them and the other fish would eat them all. What is massivore?
 
It can take a couple of weeks for Knives to adjust to their surroundings. It'll observe what the other fish are eating and learn that the food you give it is edible. Give it a little more time.

oh ok, isn't it really hard to get carnivores to eat pellets though? I've NEVER successfully done that. I'm not sure what to do because if this guy doesn't learn to eat quickly I'll either have to get rid of the pikes or get rid of him... :/
 
from live to eating tilapia took two days with out him eating and then missed one meal to move over to the pellets.most ones i hear they dont eat for one to two weeks before trying it the first time.
 
he is by himself in his tank.from what i read on here not all CK's will eat anything but live so its just chance if he will or not eat massivore.
