royal over eating

Ok, the roayl was one of the first fish I have gotten, and I got him about 2.5 inchs and about a year ago. He barely ate or moved at all for like...6-7 months of thuis times, and only recently started to move around a LITTLE and finally he starts eating more than a couple nibbles on zuchini maybe once a week. Now this one is like...super fat, I just realized it's stomach is like...bulging. I read that no one has bred these things in the home, but at most, he probably ate 2 algae wafers last night, and it's belly is poking way out....could it be a female ready to breed?
also, is it bad to overfeed them like this if it is from the food?

Get a camera from a friend if you can. Need pics. to see if it is bloat.

Fast for a few days. It could be constipation. Don't rule that out.

I even get too good a look at him, let alone snap a shot. I've never been good at catching these guys...They're all terrified of my looming hand! haha. But yeah, it looks like a portrusion 3/4 the way up its "chest".
