Hi i just bought a royle plec and what im reading there hard to look after any advice on feeding them and other things i need to know also its stomach is dipped and i read that its under fed so whats the best 2 feed it 2 get it up 2 full helth.
any help is apreciated
 
Well for one, it's worth mentioning they get around 15", so I would say a 125g for them.

To eat, until they full grown they can survive off most algae and stuff. Other foods: veggie wafers (the omega 1 brand is great for growing out juveniles), tubifex worms, blood worms, shrimp based foods, blanched vegetables (zucchini is extremely popular).

Not all royals get to be 15", not all royals stay as small as 15". Meaty foods are dangerous to feed royals as well. You are recommending too much protein for a fish that should not have very much protein at all.

Royals in general are not very difficult to look after, and they do grow very slow. Max size will depend on the specific type you have. Definitely read the sticky about pleco dietary needs, as well as look around th pleco forum. We have posted quite a bit of good information there.
