Royal Pleco and Grapevine

Would grapevine be an ok wood for a Royal Pleco to munch on? I just got one today that I am growing out for my 125. I bought a piece of Malaysian wood for his growout tank, so he will have that for a while. I am just curious for when I eventually move him to the 125 that has the grapevine in it.

Grapevines tend to rot quickly and develop fungus. I wouldn't recommend this one for use.

I did research on this matter, and didn't find a lot of info. What I found was people sharing your opinion, as well as several who said that it is fine in the aquarium. I don't know
