I have a Royal pleco 3". Not sure if it's eating. The belly is suck-in (concave). I've used waffers but the other fish eat it. I placed Zuccini and Cucumber and I'm not sure if it's eating it. I have a lot of wood in the tank but I don't think its drift wood. Any ideas on what to feed it?

Green peppers, butternut squash, zucchini.. Those are what I feed mine

If the belly is sunken in and it's eyes aren't you might need to increase the water changes. Sometimes they won't eat if the water is even slightly off.

I also agree with David about cucumbers they're useless.

If this fish is new from a LFS you might want to try some frozen krill or brine shrimp to see if it will eat. Sometimes LFS will feed them these foods so get develop a taste for them and ignore all the other things they should be fed.

You could also try frozen green peas with the shell removed

Agree with both David and Jackson about carrots/sweet potato and something to get it to eat first, I personally like to use live blackworm since their wiggly nature will trigger most fish to eat. After it starts eating, ease off the live blackworm and keep feeding carrots/sweet potato and algae wafers. Like David said, look for poo, orage from the hard veggies is a good sign.

How long have you had the pleco? Do you know what type of wood you have? If you don't, post pictures.

Thanks for all the replies I will try the carrots and the sweet potato. Ive had it about two weeks and it cleaned up all the alge in the tank. I have two green severums and they pick at the cucumber and zuccini so its hard to know if it's eating it too
