what size will my royal lose his colored tail and what do you feed yours?

there stickies for royals? i added the feeding part just for suggestions for what they feed. i was told they are carnivorus but i have also been told i should feed them veggies and they like them. is that bad?
My Royal had a clear window at 4inches when i got him his about 6-7 inches now and it is completely plain now (no more window).
The smaller one in my Avatar, had a reddish tail which has now faded into green and his window is slowly disappearing his only about 3inches.
I feed Zucchini mainly but i do give them algae wafers every 2-3 days.
Hikara Algae Wafers, Generic AW and Sera Catfish Chips.

Eh.. i just bought my royal pleco within like last week.. so i dunno what you guys mean by window or stickes..
But.. i have been feeding mine cucumbers, and he's been eating it.. I dunno about the algae disks because they are small in a 150 gallon.. and i doubt my royal and find it...
I also just bought a Malaysian driftwood... heard they need wood to survive and i think my African driftwood are too hard for them to chew on...
Thats all i know on things they eat... i might invest in some massivore...

My royals eat zucchini, lettuce, yams, melon, cantelope, small amount of fish and shrimp and lots of driftwood. I have several pieces of mopani and they are always on it when not eating the veggies.
There is an entire thread about dietary needs for plecos, and it is stickied. Read that, it will tell you a lot about what to feed him.
well if everyone would read the stickies or past threads i guess there wouldnt be any reason to make threads. maybe you should make it where no one can start anymore threads.
