Is it in the realm of possibility to determine the gender of a royal Pleco? Whether it's L027, L190, L191, L418 or other. I heard that it's possible with venting, but, I don't see that as a realistic method, or something that I'd be comfortable doing. He reason I ask is because I was looking to potentially breed some plecos in time, and I was wondering if I'd be able to buy just a pair by gender, or if I'd be better off buying maybe 4-5 and letting them grow out for a while until I can either tell the gender, or find a pair.
