Have some large royal plecos comming in. What are the differences between
royal
watermelon
thunder
spotted
broken line(scrible)
No L#, just royal Sp.on order
Thanks

Send it to me and I'll tell you which one you have. :D

Royal is a term for all of the different species of panaque with a basic color pattern.

The rest depend on who you talk to, and what the distributor/importer wants to call them.

just 2 listings
royal 7-8"
royal sp 7-8"
the sp. is 3x the price, so i ordered the sp. Out of Columbia
I am no pleco guy, so i dont know...............

royal is a common name for several L-number species in the panaque group with similar body shape and pattern... different regions have royals of slight different patterns/colors ...some exotic ones are from the orinoco .. spotted will fetch higher price though i doubt 3x at retail ... picture will get a better id than common names i'm afraid ...

There comming from the same region as the Marble Motoro's, Will have pictures up sunday night. They eat veggies, right?

Zucchini, black worms, driftwood, ect

the difference is slight variations in fish collected in different locations.

driftwood is a must ... soft decay is even better ... everything else they will touch once they are established
