We'll it doesn't get any better than this trip. Could have got a few bigger fish, but no complaints. Plug the boat...great food, and some really great people to fish with and spend 12 days with. I seen more movies on this trip than in the last 5 years. The quick report from Jeff, sums up the fish count. Here's a few pics of when when got there and returned. The "Dogs", 6 of us had a great time. Lot of travel time but well worth it. Special thanks to Jeff Bourghs on his signing of his book "San Diego long Range fishing for the Beginner". I would highly recomend this book for anyone wishing to go Long Range for the first time. The crew was fantastic, food, personalities.....Royal Star gets a 10 from me. Also a special mention for Mr. Spangler and his new KNOT. This would be known as the "The Spangler Knot". It was first introduced on this trip....never broke one knot. Very simple to tie and small in size. Probably see it at the Fred Hall Show this March..... Long Beach.

Nice tuna, but i have seen photos of these trips and really think sometimes its just too much. Now dont get me wrong im the last person to be considered PETA and believe its everyone's right to keep fish. But with how tuna have been caught lately i just think this is sustainable in the long run. I know that its not recreational anglers who do the biggest damage, but it adds up. Also i know its over 12 days and there are many people on board a single ship. Sorry about the derail but just seeing the 3rd picture just made feel a bit off. But on topic thats a cow of a tuna that lady caught.
