i had to put my spiny plec in my pond for the sake of my little tats and other fish since he was getting too agro but once my tats hit 7 inches i was thinking of adding a royal plec and a leapard sailfin plec to my tank would the two get along if both have hideing places?

By 'Sailfin' do you mean Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps? If so, then yes. I kept a 15" P. gibbiceps with several large L190 between 8-13" for about 2 years, in a 5ft tank. There was the occasional scuffle and torn fin but nothing ever serious. Once dominance and territories are established they should be ok.
