Where Palm Trees Grow
Hey guys, I hate to make a new thread but my new RT I've had since last week looks fat like he's been fed and is pooping constantly but he has not eaten yet. He is also breathing hard about half a second between each breath and its worrying me. Any ideas on what's going on and if there are certain meds I need to get? Thanks for the help ahead of time!

Need more details in terms of what does his poop look like? See any sort of infection or parasites you may notice? Water parameter?

Last week I took a water sample to my LFS when buying a fish and he gave me the water parameters but I forgot what they were, He said they were fine. The poop is real stringy and takes awhile for it to completely come out and its greenish.

Oh and I cannot see any signs of infection or parasites on the external parts of his body.

Well if hes pooping that rules out constipation. You say the water is fine.
Now you have to decide whether to treat for bacterial, parasitic, or protozoan infection. Is the tank well-oxygenated? Salt in the meantime will help him feel a little better.

Well I just found him at the bottom of the tank dead with what looks like a huge tumor :( I really hate it when I buy a new prized specimen fish it dies the next week.
