I've always wanted an arow and now may be my chance. How long could a silver arowana stay in a 6x2x2 (180 gal) with a pair of oscars, which is filtered by an FX5. Or would a jardini be ok in a 4x2x2 with 4 young dats. I'm not a noob and know how big they get.

I can get a jar at 3inch for £30 and an 6-8" silver for £30 also.

for the silver id say you'd be good till it reached maybe 2 ft if you kept up on water changes but that'd be the absolute longest id keep it in there, just my opinion though. I don't know for the jar though

the bigger tank the better, but i know some people whov been keeping their silvers in 150g tanks. but 200 would really be better

better off than a silver in the tanks you stated!

but i wouldnt count on it living peacfully with you dats or oscars!! but try it because you never know how they will be!

i have a friend who keeps his silver in 6 x 20 x 20 inch tank. its already about 3 ft and 8 years old. of course if you can upgrade to a bigger tank it would be better

you'll need a huge plastic bag to be able to transfer a big silver
