alright so basically,
my rtc looks like its about to drop dead at any given moment right now.

i have it in an 80g with a paroon shark & a pacu, ! they're all still quite small and the tank seems to suit them fine for now but i'm fully aware that I gotta get a bigger tank asap or trade them off soontimes.

well anyways, just about 2 days ago there was an ick scare, and my pacu has extremely damaged fins and doesn't look too good either.
the rtc is mostly just lying on its side in the tank and just slowly gasping for air, its got a few small white ick bumps on it and occasionally itll go berserk and swim around the tank in an absurd fashion, in which its usually upside down.

anyways I performed a water change after I noted the beginnings of the illness, treated with some slimecoat, and put some ick drops in there with half the recommended dosage (seeing as the rtc is scaleless and the meds are too strong for it),

but oddly enough the only fish that is doing miraculously well is the paroon shark, who is as happy as can be while his tankmates die.

I've been treating with the ick remedy and slimecoat once a day now, and I'm thinking a good 40% water change might help them out a bit,

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated in saving my beloved pals ! :(

thanks for the support guys,
i really hope that my rtc pulls through.
i think i
ll try a water change & a temp raise shortly

Good plan. I've treated everything thats come up in my tanks with salt and a temp raise so far (ofcourse I havn't had anything horrible happen but I did have some ick issues that cleared up very nicely with the salt treatment)
Keep us posted and good luck!

you shouldnt use the ick medicine every day. you put it in once and remove carbon if you use any and raise the temperature. depending on the product you should only treat about once a week

Use the high tempature and salt method it WORKS.

My severum and geo had it and within a week it was totally gone. Dont stop treatment for another 2 weeks after its off the fish.

Trust me it works
