So i received my RTC about a week ago and his fins appear to be damaged? Not sure if it was during transport or attacked by another fish. Anything helps, I have sent an email to the seller (company) and I haven't received anything in response?

Happens, shouldn't be a problem if water is kept clean, many catfish I've caught have broken or torn fins, especially adults during breeding season
As already stated keep the water clean. For small catfish a small cave or pvc will help to keep it secure and less stress. Reduce the lights. Best of luck.
