I bought a Rtc and tsn from a supplier and they arrived with me next day in perfect condition.

After about 3 weeks my 4 severums got whitespot. So I purchased NT labs white spot treatment. I put slightly less than the required dose in taking into account internal tank dimensions and decor ect.

The morning after they were both covered in a mucus layer that made them have a cloudy appearance. The following morning they were both dead.

I have a pleco and sun cat in the tank which didn't appear to have whitespot and showed no mucus layer. All other fish surived

I contacted NT labs and they sent me a questionaire. I had a letter back from them saying no evidence points to their product causing the 2 deaths as it is suitable for all fish.

It just seems very odd to me that both my Rtc and tsn died within 36 hours of treatment.

Any help or advice?

The active ingredients are malachite green and formaldehyde. A lot of fish especially catfish can be super sensitive to these chemicals. Also how warm is the tank? One must remember that formaldehyde droves oxygen out of the water.
