This is my first post and i have a serious question that will probably be an obvious answer to most of you. Can I keep an RTC and a TSN that are both the same size together?

No, tank size is not the question, i got a 5x5 pond, 18x9 pond, a 55gallon and soon to get a 150+

YES and NO........ My 20" RTC tried to eat my 20" TSN and ultimately thats what led to his death. Many others have done it and many are still doing it though. My RTC must just be a mean MO FO.

It didnt work for me.

my 40'' RTCs live with much smaller TSN with no problems. keep in mind that u have to keep them VERY well fed. im talking pregnant belly 24/7 just to be on the safe side. when they both get over 24'' it will get pretty safe...they tend to eat each other wen they r younger. i only started mixing my fish wen they were over 24''.

hmmm, thanks, my rtc is only 7in right now and he has already killed a peacock bass and eaten a 6 inch gar :(

pond sounds sweet can we see some pics :D

welcome to MFK
and yes we all like pics so start posting pics
i used to keep 4 cats in a 180g 2x RTCs(8"+) and 2x TSNs(10"+)
had to move one of the RTCs to the smaller pond but he will join the others after i finish their new pond
2 small RTCs fight a lot
i don't know about big one though
