I have 3 RTC, all around 8-10 inches. I am looking for ideas for big caves for them to lounge in while they are still on the younger size. I have been using big PVC pipe T fittings, but they keep quickly outgrowing them.....Any thoughts on something big, I could place in the tank, that doesn't look horribly ugly, that they won't out grow in the next 6 months? I really do not want to build rock caves, for fear of them redecorating and banging the rocks around on the bottom of the tank. I keep bare botton tanks, easier to clean. Thanks.

Why do you have 3 RTC? You should reconsider re-housing 2 of them as they might not do so well together when they grow.

You know it will cost 1000's in the first couple of year to house these things. What size is your tank?

I never thought about having someone make ceramic caves, that might be the ticket for what I am looking for. I did find some really big clay pots, that could work for a year or so......I wonder if there is any reason that a clay pot would mess up the water parameters?...... Like effecting hardness, or ph?......I have 2 tanks currently, a 250 gal and a 450 gal......4 total fish, the 3 RTC and a larger silver arowana.....I have plans for 2 more much larger tanks when needed. I have had RTC before, know the cost, know the size, etc. Just looking for ideas, since I am keeping bare bottom tanks, thought they might like some place to hole up instead on just laying out in the wide open, thanks for the ideas. Please keep them coming.
