I think my RTC has gillcurl aswell, though it seems to be fine and healthy besides that. One gill is bending a little outwards from its body. I took the fish up from the tank to try to massage it back, though the gill curled was soft like rubber and thus made it just turn back into its misformed shape. Tank is 540liters and my RTC is bout 15-20cm big atm (new tank is needed later im aware of). I do a 25% waterchange each 7days. Is it possible for the fish to live with this gillcurl or do actions need to be taken? i´we seen videos of ppl treating their arowanas with operation wich includes cutting away the misformed gill but that seems risky and that would be the last thing to do if i notice my fish gets ill.
