Rtc gill curl

At what point should i be concerned with it? Its 1 gill on 1 side only. Unknown cause. Hes 12-14" and very healthy otherwise.

Its almost curled enough to reach the next gill.

And how dificult is it to Clove oil and trim it?

If you can you should try the massage technique and keep water quality perfect 1st, surgically removing will only work if it is the membrane,not the plate! And this should only be done as a last resort because it is fairly difficult (much easier with someone helping if you do have to do it) and sometimes it can cause more problems than it solves.
