RTC Growth question.

Picked up a baby RTC about a month ago. he was maybe 2.5 inches long at most. he eats like a monster, goldfish, massivoire pellets, bloodworms, beefheart, tilapia. basically anything I put in the tank he eats. but My question is how big should be be a month later? When will his red color come in?

That's him now. Maybe grew 2 inches since i've gotten him. Should i be feeding more?

mabey 5 inches pushing that if you feed right and water change. ive seen them. grow like weeds in poo conditions.

I do 15% water changes every weekend aswell as suck out all the crap almost everyday and trust me... he eats like a monster and eats everything.

They often grow in spurts usually averaging 1.5"-2" a month during their first year ... in good care.

He is in a 55 right now, will be going to a 180 once he is a good size. Hoping to have my 300gallon set up by feb. Then when he gets big enough. into the pond.

Seems like a very average growth rate to me. They can do more or less depending on a number of things. One must always remember that all fish are individuals and growth rates on individuals will always vary from one another.
