The Crusty Krab
So i picked up a RTC yesterday .... FINALY!!:headbang2 He/she (not sure on gender) is just under 12" in length and is currently in my 300g with my TSN (about 18") and Florida Gar (about 12") ..... Will post picks soon

I was wondering how active your RTC's are during the day/night?
When i put mine in the tank last night he/she explored a bit then laid in one of the corners and hasn't moved from there sense.
It also tilts its body slightly side ways. Im guessing he might just be stressed from the move and may just need more time to settle in. I gave them shrimp tonight, RTC only had about 3 small ones. Im used to my TSN who has about 10-15 shrimp easy. The tank has been running for about a year with the TSN and Gar with no problems did a water test and everything is fine. Any ideas?
Thanks

That is very odd it's never a good sign when that happens. If your water is good and you feed him nothing else uou can do. What's up with your tsn's head was it stunted at one point?

That's only a slight bend in the snout of the TSN. Nice looking cats. Starting them out in a 300 gal is much better start then most get in the trade! Sometimes RTC are lazy. Mine would often lay in one spot and only move during feeding time. Then they were active for about 30 mins until I guess the smell dissipated and they would lay back in their favorite spot again!
