Has anyone ever heard of a fish breaking the glass with a rock. The glass is definitely heaver than when he was in the 55g. He has been in the 125g now for 4 months and is starting to do this wonderful habit again. He seems to do it at night after I shut the lights out. After he broke the last airstone I bought a heavy disk that I put under the stone. Last night he pulled that out so he either hit the tank with that or one of the large stones in the tank.

My rtc x tsn hybrid was able to move a 200 lbs rock over 6" in a few days. Also had a RTC that moved a 40 lbs piece of quartz I had in his tank all over the place. I took it out for fear he would damage himself or the glass.

Yup........My big guy spent his extra time moving around a 3' piece if driftwood with a big ass piece if slate on the bottom :screwy: I had to remove it as he was cutting himself all up. Now my little 20" guy is starting to slowly move it around :screwy: :screwy:

I say it all the time......RTC's belong alone and with no decorations or maybe really really big ones :D

my oscar moves and fights with ''his'' driftwood. but a tsn using a rock. wow. my paces hit the glass with there heads all the time. its kinda loud

my 6" oscar was able to drag a 20lb piece of rock from one side of my 75g to the other. I have no idea how, since there was driftwood in the middle

Good thing water makes things lighter or I would think we have superfish on our hands! I did away with the 200 lb rock the hybrid pushed around. Was afraid he might tilt it like he did one time and it might come back down on his tail or fins. With catfish it seems you have to put lots of large cover in the tank or non at all. Before I put anything into my big pond the fish all hung out by the in-pond filter, after I put in tons of large rocks they all decided they needed their own territories, and fight viciously over them
