RTC and 2 parrots- had no power for 2 days...went out and got a batery powered pump for oxygen...... power in back i kept the pump in . I was told to rince out the filter and cartriges because of build up of ammonia-which i did.. Water is not so pretty but ammonia levels good. i did 2 10 gal changes in 2 1/2 days of being out. any other avice? ps its a 55 gal and the RTC is 9 inches...... i know "get a bigger tank" advice on anything to do with the outage or if any previous advice i took was bad.. thank you

How is the water temp? If the temp is dropping, when you do your water changes add some warm water. I don't know how big the pump is that you have but if tank near a door, you can run a hose from the tank outside into the sun and back in to heat water a bit. Dont feed .
