I have a 100 foot by 50 foot by 9 foot deep pond and was wondering if an rtc, or tsn could live in it during the winter, and if not, why?

it would die pretty fast, they come from the amazon where there is no snow or frost

They are evolved for a tropical climate. If you have the means to heat the water during the winter to at least 72 f, then I say do it. Otherwise you are asking for your fish to die. If you knew you could retrive them during the winter than you could keep them in it during the summer and take them indoors during the winter.
